• The Pet Shop Boys are an English electronic music duo, featuring Neil Tennant on vocals, keyboards, and occasional guitar, and Chris Lowe on keyboards.
  
• They are listed as the most successful musical duo in UK music history by The Guinness Book of World Records.
• In 1996, David Bowie and Tennant released a remix of Bowie's "Hallo Spaceboy" featuring Tennant on backing vocals.
  
• The duo employ programmer Pete Gleadall to oversee their many racks of synthesizers that play their backing tracks during live shows.
  
• On September 28, 2011, Pet Shop Boys announced that they had written 16 songs for their next studio album, which has a planned release in Fall 2012.
